Kol Nidre Appeal
Our annual Kol Nidre Appeal is vital in supporting our synagogue’s continued presence in our lives. Our synagogue relies on the generosity of our members and supporters to insure that we are able to provide the programs and services in our congregation. Our annual membership dues alone cannot provide enough resources to bring programs, holiday activities, your Rabbi, upkeep of the cemetery and maintenance on our 40 year old building. We turn to you now to make your High Holy Day Commitment. The board of trustees has set a goal of 100% participation from members and supporters. We are not asking you to give a specific amount, give what you can.
Life & legacy society
Congregation Agudath Achim, along with other Jewish organizations around the State are participating in the Life and Legacy Program. Life and Legacy is a 2 year partnership program of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation that assists congregations across the country, through partnerships with Jewish Federations, to promote after-lifetime giving to benefit those congregations and Jewish life for future generations.
If you have already made a commitment to Agudath Achim as part of your estate plan (a bequest in your will, the gift of an annuity, an insurance policy, a charitable trust or some other deferred commitment) please let us know – we would like to recognize you as part of the Life and Legacy Society.
Also, if the congregation meets its goal of 18 gifts, the Grinspoon society will donate up to $10,000. We are in the process of setting up informational visits and would like you to think about Agudath Achim as part of your estate planning. Securing the future for generations to come is important anywhere. But in the South, where congregations are shrinking and disappearing, your deferred gift can make an even greater difference.
